 Welcoming the New Baby Daughter: Jetsunma Ngawang Tsejin Lhamo Sakya
On Saturday the 2nd of April 2011, on Mahakala day of the first lunar month, H.E. Dagmo Sonam Palkyi, wife of Khöndung Gyana Vajra Rinpoche, gave birth to a baby girl in Wil, Switzerland. The newborn princess was named Jetsunma Ngawang Tsejin Lhamo Sakya, which means Goddess of Longevity and of Powerful Speech. She is the first child of Khöndung Gyana Vajra Rinpoche and of his wife, Dagmo Kushok Sonam Palkyi, and is the newest addition to the Sakya Dolma Phodrang. Her arrival was greeted by members of both the Sakya and Khamritshang families, who were present in Switzerland for the occasion. The birth went smoothly and was free of complications, with both daughter and mother looking happy and relaxed. Shortly afterwards, in the privacy of the hospital room, Dungsey Rinpoche performed traditional blessing rituals according to the Khön tradition.  Celebration of H.E. Akasha Rinpoche’s First Birthday
On the 14th of April, the Sakya Centre was host to a most joyful occasion: the celebration of His Eminence Akasha Vajra Rinpoche’s first birthday.
Born on the 27th of March of last year to His Eminence Ratna Vajra Rinpoche and to Her Eminence Dagmo Kushok Kalden Dunkyi, His Eminence is His Holiness the Sakya Trizin’s first grandson, and the youngest member of the Khön family. With its origins in a celestial realm called Abhasvara, or Realm of the Gods of Clear Light, the Khön family has produced generation after generation of great bodhisattvas, emanations of Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara and Vajrapani. If one is to judge by the young Dungsey’s inquisitive nature, gentle disposition and penetrating gaze, he could very well take his place among these exceptional beings.

 Lamdre 2011: Walden, New York. On the 30th of May 2011, some 180 disciples of His Holiness the Sakya Trizin converged on the small town of Walden, New York.  The Grand Inauguration of Tsechen Kunchab Ling Temple of All-Encompassing Great Compassion Seat of His Holiness the Sakya Trizin in the United States (June 2011)
On a beautiful and auspicious day, June 19, 2011, His Holiness Sakya Trizin performed the opening ceremony for Tsechen Kunchab Ling, His Holiness' official seat in the United States. This joyous event was attended by many members of the noble Khön family from both Drolma Phodrang and Phuntsok Phodrang including Khöndung Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, Khöndung Gyana Vajra Rinpoche, Dungsey Ani Rinpoche, Dungsey Akasha Rinpoche, H.E. Jetsun-ma Kunga Trinley Palter, H.E. Gyalyum Chenmo, H.E. Dagmo Kushog Kalden and her mother Mayum Sadultsang. >MORE

 H.H. the Sakya Trizin bestows the Vajrayogi Initiation and Teaching: On the 27th of March, His Holiness began a two-week bestowal of Vajrayogini initiation and teachings at the beautiful Rinchen Choling Sakya Nunnery in Dekyiling, a short distance from His Holiness’ Sakya Dolma Phodrang.
